Call centres and helpdesks can often be a true test of customer service.

Staff need to get to the bottom of the problem quickly, and then talk through the solution with a usually stressed customer on the other end of the phone.
    

This was the case when Kim Malone phoned the helpdesk at MYOB and found the calming influence of Janelle Stokes.

Kim explains.

"We all complain these days about the terrible lack of service we receive when we phone the helpdesk of most organisations.

However recently I had an amazing experience when I phoned the MYOB helpdesk and found myself speaking to Janelle.

In the process of rolling my software program into the current year, the screen saver activated, interrupted the roll-over and completely corrupted my files.

I was devastated. I had less than one hour before the shareholders of the company were arriving for a meeting and were expecting me to provide them with accounts. Janelle was truly awesome.

She helped me locate the backup, and took me through the entire restore over the telephone.

I have to say that when I called I was in panic mode, but nothing was too much trouble for her and within a very short space of time she had me back up and running again.

This would have to be, without a doubt, the best helpdesk assistance I have ever received. Awesome service. Thanks Janelle! "
