A car breakdown can be a stressful experience.

When Carol Hogg needed help - Mark Langham at the service centre at Albany Toyota was there, taking good care of Carol ...and her car.

Carol explains.

"It was late afternoon and I was heading West in my car. I noticed a light on my dash, and then an oil light, and realised it was the automatic transmission.

I had my 3 year old granddaughter with me and was scared to drive it any further so I stopped at the Toyota Service Department.

They took a look and found it had lost all oil, and I shouldn't drive it any further.

They lent me a car and said they would look at and assess the damage and let me know.

They phoned early next morning to let me know that that it was worse than expected and that a part had shattered in the transmission.

It meant buying a reconditioned or second-hand one. They phoned all around NZ to get prices and we decided to go for the reconditioned one.

They said to hang onto the borrowed car and use it like my own. I had to go to Matamata that weekend, so no problems.

At all times they kept us informed of the work and time. I got the car back 10 days later in working order and cleaned.

I returned the borrowed one clean and made them a big cake for morning tea. They really deserve the "Awesome Service Award"

Congratulations to Mark Langham of Albany Toyota: A worthy winner of an Awesome Service Award.
