Peter Duncan of Foil Em! Etching and Design in Te Awamutu was nominated by Carol Judkins
after he went out of his way to repair an athletic
cup that had been won by her late mother. "Our mother recently passed away. We wanted to have her running-cup on display after the funeral - at the afternoon tea - to show her athletic ability when she was younger. We found this engraving shop in Te Awamutu and thought we would ask them if they would be able to supply a base for the cup so it would stand up properly. This had gone missing over the years. What wonderful service and very nice people. They did not think they had a base suitable for the cup, but went out of their way to do something for us. At short notice they made the cup like new and even cleaned it up without our asking. They would not take any money for the work even though they are in business. We were amazed at their kindness. My sister Janice is a wonderful cook and she kept her promise to take the people in question - several plates of home baking as a thank you. We did appreciate what they did for our Mum. The cup was a great talking point at the afternoon tea and really stood out on the table along with the photos." Congratulations to Peter Duncan of Foil Em! Etching and Design: A worthy winner of an MYOB Awesome Service Award! 134 Sloane Street, Te Awamutu | ||
